The Empowering Women Mentorship Program brings professionals in the electrical industry together to provide up and coming women in our industry with the opportunity to broaden knowledge, gain confidence, elevate capabilities and stand out through mentoring.
Spring 2024 Empowering Women Mentorship Program
We are excited to announce the next session for the Spring of 2024. To date, we collectively have impacted more than 330 up-and-coming women in our industry. If developing, leading and supporting the up-and-coming women in our industry is important to you, then we’d love to have you join our mentoring community. There are three ways to be a part of this proven program:
Sponsorship - sponsor an up-and-coming woman in our industry, someone you see potential in and are willing to invest in to take her career to the next level. More details about what sponsorship entails can be found here.
Be a Mentor - part of what makes our program successful are our amazing mentors. Men and women in our industry, of all ages and experience levels, who are willing to share their experiences, stories and insights to help their mentee broaden her knowledge, gain confidence, elevate her capabilities and so much more. Learn more about what it means to be a mentor in our program here. If you’re in, please complete and submit your mentor profile to info@KJCompany.net no later than January 30, 2024.
Be a Mentee - you don’t have to wait for someone to sponsor you. We have several mentees who took the initiative to self-sponsor. If you want to be a mentee, complete and return the application along with a letter of recommendation.
Reserve your spot today. Applications are due January 30, 2024 and Kick-off is set for February 28, 2024!
How The Empowering Women Mentorship Program Began
Kathy Jo Van and Stacey Felzer both have had a number of tremendous mentors through their careers, mentors that have challenged, encouraged and helped them become the people and leaders they are today. Kathy Jo developed this awesome program and then partnered with Stacey to launch it. Together they are excited and proud to be able to offer the opportunity to connect women in the electrical industry with mentors to help develop and encourage their growth and advancement.
To date we have made a difference for more than 330 up-and-coming women in the Electrical Industry; plus more than 200 women and men who serve as mentors in our program.
What makes this program unique?
• We are focused on up and coming women in the electrical industry – allowing us to tailor the program on specific needs and topics relevant to our mentees.
• Our mentors are industry leaders, both men and women who are experienced veterans from the electrical industry.
• There are opportunities throughout the program to meet and connect with other professionals in the industry – broadening your network.
• The program is structured but with flexibility to make it your own.
